Stud welding is a technique similar where a fastener or specially formed nut is welded onto another metal part, typically a base metal or substrate. The fastener can take different forms, but typically fall under threaded, unthreaded, or tapped. The bolts may be automatically fed into the stud welder gun. Weld nuts generally have a flange with small nubs that melt to form the weld.<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”15″][vc_column_text]\n

    • Single-sided welding is done. This means that access to the other side of the workpiece is not required.<\/li>\n

      It is safe. Unlike the peripheral weld, which will be used to weld a bolt to a surface, the stud weld is a cross-sectional weld. This means that the fastener is welded securely and reliably.<\/div>\n
